Cricket Team

The Atlas Cricket team was started early on with Tim Gover as one of the main batsmen, Eric Thomas kept wicket and Doug House and Mike Claringbold were two of the medium pace bowlers and Brit Jeeves was the spinner. Mainly they played in the local Chilton site evening league where most of the teams originated from Harwell and Rutherford laboratories. Alex Bell and Bob Hopgood often opened taking short singles until Alex ran out of breath.

Once a year they also competed in the SRC Sports Day.
