FR80 Console Teletype

R Brandwood

2 September 1975

The console teletype is now maintained under contract by Computer Field Maintenance Ltd (CFM). The contract is for office hours only.

The present arrangements for faults outside office hours are:

  1. D Green should be contacted via R Brandwood.
  2. ACL is investigating the possibility of a replacement teletype. Until this is organised then (1) should be used.

The demarcation point for whether it is:

  1. A console fault
  2. A mainframe fault

is:

If the teletype works satisfactorily in LOCAL, then the fault is III's, otherwise it is CFM's.

REPORTING FAULTS

Faults should be reported to RB, PB, or TAT, who will contact CFM.
