Martin Ashworth from Sheffield requires a large amount of 4020 data tapes to be plotted onto microfiche.
A program has been set up with the default values as he requires them. This program is ASH;FICHE. It is dumped onto tape 802.
The output from the job will be directed to the 4020 operators. It will indicate the tape serial numbers and the sequence. They MUST be run in sequence.
TITLE - The title is to be inserted by the operator, using the jobname in the following manner. TITLE/T2C3L3V1,1H1,1/ jobname $M$C TITLE/C C5L5V1,3H9,3/ NO.$4 1$ST SWITCH 8 - Is to be set up. CAMERA - MICROFICHE 48X TAPES - The tape drive should be cleaned before each tape is loaded. Use a SKIP/ to move past the 1900 header label, then GO/ on the first tap2 and CONTINUE/ for the remaining tapes. Each tape takes approximately 30 minutes to plot.
Copy the tape on the 1906A, using NUTS COPY and run the job under user :.AASH01.
Restart the program with a fresh TITLE command and indicating the sequence number to start on. Each tape generates 4 fiche, therefore, if the second tape fails the new title would be:
TITLE/T2C3L3V1,1H1,1/ jobname $MSC TITLE/C C5L5V1,3H9,3/ NO.$4 5$T
Use a SKIP/2 to move over the 1900 header label and filemark then GO/ to restart the job.
Return all output to the user in the normal manner.
