Defaults for Copying Tapes

R Brandwood

18 November 1975

The programdescribed in Operator Notice 19 is to take account of all copying possibilities. The following can be used only from the 1906A Console and assumes you wish only to do a straight copy as described.

1. 7-track owned (by :FR80TAPES) to 7-track POOLTAPE
    FORMAT FR80 SPOOLCOPY, tsn

2. 7-track worktape to 7-track POOLTAPE
    FORMAT FR80 WORKCOPY, tsn
This will automatically DEAD the tape and then copy it. The
WORKTAPE is to be passed to the tape librarian for evaluation
and NEwing back into the system when copying completed.

3. 9-track non-standard tape to 9-track POOLTAPE
FORMAT FR80 IBMCOPY, tsn, DECK n
the tsn is as per the tape label.
DECK n = the. deck where the tape is to be loaded.
A REDON command will then be issued by the MACRO.
