Hand-written logs of photos were kept by the photographers but there are a number of issues: they did not always know exactly what they were photographing so some comments are very vague ("NIRNS progress" is a favourite); it is not always easy to read the handwriting; from 1965 rubber-stamped index numbers are of deteriorating clarity towards the end of each stamp's lifetime; some photo series numbers are duplicated; and some photos have been taken for use by individuals so are not documented at all which makes dating them inaccurate.
Arrival of the Pickfords transport with Injector Vessel for Nimrod showing unloading and sequence of events (9 December 1959)
A series of photos by JW Thomas, Headington.
A series of photos by Fox Photos Ltd, Faringdon Road, London. (Pictures probably posed by model because he doesn't dare touch anything!)
Beam characterisation signals. (Dates are those marked on trace.)
Visit of Russian scientists (1 December 1965); see write-up in Orbit for this month.
Photographs of open day exhibits (19 May 1966)
The explanatory notices on the equipment on these photos make it seem likely that they were taken in advance of an open day or VIP visit. The envelope in which they were found says "Nimrod Injector EHT Area; photo taken 25 March 1969."
