Scene17 and Scene18
Currently, the aim now is to move the focus to the cable car for several reasons:
- It removes all the buildings, mountains etc from the scene
- It allows the origin to be moved from the front of the Windsor Atlantica to the cable car
- That gets us into a position where the viewpoint to the cable can be moved half a circle so that the view of Urca and Sugar Loaf is from the other side
- This view is needed for the transition to the final logo which has Sugar Loaf on the left and Urca on the right.
The various positions are:
X Y Z -66 0 -225 Ground -97 -46 -319 Urca -7 -79 -455 SugarLoaf -61 -59.3 -374 Starting Position Cable Car in Scene01 -34 -69.25 -414.8 Halfway from starting position to top of Sugar Loaf Use this as the new origin ie move origin to (34,69.25,414.8) X Y Z Ground is now at -32 69.25, 189.8 Urca is now at -63 23.25, 95.8 Sugar is now at 27 -9.75, -40.2 Viewpoint greater than 220 from new origin allows any viewport orientation
Positions in New Coordinates
Scene17 moves the view up to the cable car and top of Sugar Loaf only. Scene18 does the change of origin switch and moves in on the cable car.
The simple cable car in Scene01 is replaced by a more precise version close to the one in actual use.

Scene19 to Scene22
Scenes 19 and 20 change the viewpoint so that the cable car is being viewed from the approximate position of the final scene where the logo itself is viewed from with Sugar Loaf on the left and Urca on the right. The people in the cable car are positioned so that they do not need to be changed in rendering order as the viewpoint is rotated although the cable car itself has to be reordered.
Scenes 21 and 22 are 2D scenes. A stylised Urca and Sugar Loaf with an outline equal to the Rio logo are viewed as the camera moves away. The sun rises making the sky yellow and then moves away even further to reveal the complete logo.

Major Chrome Bugs
Two of the worst Chrome Bugs encountered were:
- The shadow of the ball crossing the net instead of arriving at the correct position on the ground stopped before it arrived. The machine went into an infinite loop that overheated the PC.
- Rendering of the mountains occasionally became distorted. Fault was intermittent but sufficiently frequent that it made Chrome unusable at the time.
Both bugs have since been corrected.
