The ICL 1906A computer was installed in July/ August 1971.
In May 1973, a 5-spindle EDS-60 exchangeable disc file was added, each cartridge holding approximately 60M characters, with an instantaneous transfer rate of 416 Kilocharacters per second for each drive.
