For a motion such as the dog running, there is a need to generate sufficient cells to achieve smooth motion. For a frame rate of 24 frames per second, at least 12 cels may be needed.
The generation of inbetween frames can often be left to an assistant.
The final version on the right shows a very smooth movement that would be achieved at 24 separate frames per second.
