Appendix 5: A selection of library programmes available for Mercury
The following pages describe some library programmes currently available.
A complete list will be supplied by the installation at which the programme is to be run.
- ESTIMATION OF THE LIMIT OF A NUMERICAL SEQUENCE: PROGRAMME - 501
- SIMPLE QUADRATURE: PROGRAMME - 502: This programme evaluates the integral of f(x) using the Gaussian method
- QUADRATURE PROGRAMME - 503: The programme is similar to 502 but contains an additional chapter to calculate the Quadrature formulas involved.
- QUADRATURE FOR INFINITE INTEGRALS: PROGRAMME - 504: calculates integral over a set of intervals and then tries to find the limit
- HARMONIC ANALYSIS: PROGRAMME -505: Given numerical values of a periodic function, the programme calculates the coefficients of the harmonic approximation
- SOLUTION OF ALGEBRAIC EQUATIONS: PROGRAMME -506: This programme calculates the zeros of a polynomial
- AUTO- AND CROSS-CORRELATION: PROGRAMME -507: Given two sequences (which may be identical), calculates correlation values
- TABULAR SOLUTION OF DIFFERENTIAL EQUATIONS: PROGRAMME -516: The programme will tabulate the solution of a set of differential equations
- TABULATION: PROGRAMME -524: A single-chapter programme for the sectional tabulation of a matrix
- SOLUTION OF NORMAL EQUATIONS OF LEAST SQUARES: PROGRAMME -510
