The original 16mm camera was replaced by a pin-registered Vought camera with both a 16mm and 35mm movements in the Autumn of 1971. Installation of this did not go quite as smoothly as it might have done. The image size on the 16mm film was not large enough to get a full cine image. In addition it was found to be impossible to abut 35mm frames. Consequently new lenses were required for both cameras and these did not arrive until 1972. The registration on the new camera was much better than that on the old one and there was little problem with camera jitter from then on.
