The new Atlas Library was well stocked with computing journals and books and a reasonable selection of scientific journals requested by the Atlas users. The heavier Journals were housed on the inner side of the room just in case..

Jack Howlett's new Office was much larger than the old and was well appointed. It later housed Geoff Manning when the Atlas Laboratory was absorbed into the Rutherford Laboratory. Future heads of RAL Computing inherited the Office including Bill Walkinshaw, Bob Hopgood and Brian Davies.
